Playlist for 1/30 plus exciting new news!

Exciting news for this week's upcoming show!
I'll be having aspring documentary filmmaker Nausheen Dadabhoy on my show. We'll be discussing her film The Ground Beneath Their Feet.

"'The Ground Beneath Their Feet' is the story of Ruqiya and Khalida, two young Pakistani women who were paralyzed in the devastating earthquake that struck the north of Pakistan in 2005. Their disability left them struggling to create a new identity for themselves once their cultural value as wives and homemakers was lost.

This documentary shows the five-year evolution of their attitudes, bodies, and futures. Made by a Pakistani-American woman, the film provides a truthful story of the strength of women in the Muslim world."
